I'm going to disable comments from now on - I just want you guys to view - simply enjoy the photo. If you like it fav it etc. If you really want to say something about it then send me a note or leave a message on my main page - I'd be more than happy to reply! I am very open to constructive criticism and am always willing to learn something new. This way I can still submit work, let you guys see it, but more importantly have the time to enjoy your artwork as well and drop a comment when I can.
The Photo
Well - it definately is something different for me - not the usual rural or urban shot - but I had a lot of fun putting it together! I'm sure we've all had that feeling of being watched, or being in the presence of something. Living in a really old house helps, but I'm sure it's a feeling that will just about happen anywhere. Whether it be a flash of movement, a shadow that dissapears when you turn to look at it, the hair on the back of your neck standing on end or a sudden cold chill out of the blue. I used natural light coming through my bathroom window to cast the shadow of my arm reaching for the doorknob - the shadow itself being the 'creep' or presence in this case. To make it a little more interesting I took this during a rainstorm - but in the end I guess that really doesn't translate to the photo - you can't see drops running down the window etc.
And I promise to post some colour work soon - something that has a little warmth and cheer to it - for those of you who have asked, I'm not depressed etc - I'm just stuck in a black and white groove
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
