This is by far my favourite photo since picking up a camera. For me it embodies everything I love about the East Coast - I hope you enjoy!
I took this shot along the Atlantic Coast a couple of weeks ago. When I set out the weather was sour - overcast and lots of rain, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of photography. Before I reached my destination (Peggy's Cove) the clouds broke and out came the early evening sun. For about an hour straight the area had a 'Sun Shower' which made for some interesting scenery. In the top left of the frame you can see a large smudge - that is the tail end of the storm making it's way out over the Atlantic.
The light at the time was very intense so I used two Neutral Density filters - an ND1 and an ND2 (Cokin). This allowed me to hold back the bright light breaking through the clouds, without losing too much detail in the foreground. What I enjoy the most are the raindrops that are evident on the choppy surface of the water.
I wish I was a fisherman
Tumblin’ on the seas
Far away from dry land
And it’s bitter memories
Casting out my sweet line
With abandonment and love
No ceiling bearin’ down on me
’cept the starry sky above
With light in my head
You in my arms!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
