I think its time to slowly work my way back, it has been quite some time.
A lot has happened since 2007. I've travelled far and wide, found love, lost love,
found love again. Engaged, married, home, baby. There he is, my pride and joy.
Wee little Lachlan, born May 22nd and full of energy. My favourite thing about him?
He likes to watch, sitting patiently as the world unfolds around him. I think he'll do well behind a camera.
It might be some time before I start submitting full time, but for now I wanted to say hello and let you know what I'm up to. For those of you who are interested you can follow my work at;

I've decided to remove the link to the UK photo petition after a few deviants were kind enough to point out some background information. What I thought was a potential piece of legislation which could ban street photography in this country was only a rumour. Thank you to those who sent that information along!

First off - the feedback from the last journal post was wonderful - I hope to see more flash work in the near future (myself included!). We'll undoubtedly empty our pockets in the process, but its bound to be fun, right? I've got a second 430EX flash and an ST-E2 transmitter on my wish-list. Ah, dreaming is fun . . . .
I came across an article recently titled 'Can Photographers Be Plagiarists?' - a look at the ethics / morales behind reproducing photographic images / techniques. It isn't in-depth by any means, but it does raise some interesting issues and offers a medium sized

Its been close to four months, but I've started to poke my head around dA again as the amount of school work begins to taper off. A Masters degree takes a good chunk of your life away, but the plus side is that the program is only a year long. As classes finish on the 20th of March and I begin to move into my summer dissertation I should have more time to spend on dA, continuing with weekly deviantARCADE features and writing tutorials for the gallery.
Until then I'm not going to have time to answer every single comment, but I do want to let you guys know that I appreciate the
